FAQ

Got questions about Post Pro Sound's service?  We've got some answers here.  Should you not find the answer you're looking for, or if something remains unclear, then please don't hesitate to reach out directly here.

Q:  What are your qualifications?

A:  Many years of experience working with hundreds of clients throughout the world, improving the quality of audio content for music/vocal tracks, VoiceOvers, short films, audiobooks, podcasts, advertisements, narrations, documentaries, security footage, and even evidence used in court trials.  This includes being trained and up-to-date on the latest and greatest forensic tools/plugins that are on the market at any given time.  Check out the before/after samples in the service descriptions section of our Home page, which were jobs performed for actual clients.

Q:  What is your turnaround time?

A:  It depends on the amount of audio, the difficulty involved, and the backlog of orders at any given time.  Jobs consisting of < 1 hour of audio typically take ~2-7 days to complete, while larger jobs will naturally take longer.  In any case, a specified turnaround time will always be included in the quote you receive prior to the start of the job.

Q:  How do I get a quote for your services?

A:  Simply fill out and submit the Quote Request Form.  Within 1-2 days, a quote will be sent to the email address that you provide in the form, along with a free 30 second sample of what the finished audio will sound like.

Q:  What happens after the quote is sent to me?

A:  You will have the option to either approve or reject the quote.  If approved, you will immediately be sent an invoice, during which payment will be required upfront.  Once payment is submitted and received, the job has officially started and we begin work on our end until completion.

Q:  For how long is my quote valid?

A:  Quotes are valid for 30 days, starting from the issue date.  This will be specified on the quote itself.

Q:  Do you offer refunds?

A:  For a few different scenarios, yes.  Please see our Refund Policy for more details.

Q:  Do you offer services converting analog, vinyl, and/or CDs to digital files?

A:  No, unfortunately we do not.  We only work with digital files that are sent to us.  Sorry...

Q:  Can you remove ALL background noise from audio?

A:  It depends on a number of factors, such as the source and volume of noise or unwanted sound in your file, as well as the source and volume of what you do want to hear.  Some sources simply can't be removed without damaging and/or negatively impacting the quality of the 'good' frequencies that are attempting to be preserved.  Consistent background noises - such as an air conditioner, fan, or constant hiss - have a better chance of being removed than more inconsistent sources - such as TV, radio, dialogue, live music, and crowd noise. In the latter cases, the noise can most likely be reduced, but not eliminated.
